MFT Creative Construction with Blueprints - Come as You Are

April 25, 2017

It's time for this month's MFT Creative Construction with Blueprints DT challenge. This moth we are challenged to create a card following Blueprints sketches. Do you know that every Blueprints release includes a quartet of sketches featuring the elements? You can find them in downloadable PDFs HERE. These sketches are very helpful when you need to create a card in a hurry!

I chose the newly released Blueprints 32 Die-namics for my card. Since I was inspired by the heart element in the sketch, I decided to use the Heart Bouquet stamp set for my focal panel and found a perfect sentiment in the Essential Sentiments stamp set.

To create a springlike scene for this cutie, I inked a Smooth White panel with Berrylicious Premium Dye ink and added a picket fence and grassy ground. I also added some tiny flowers to the grass using a white gel pen and English Mustard Crystal Drops.

The rest was easy peasy as I followed the provided sketch - just needed to choose a patterned paper that matches well with her. :)

Head on over to the MFT blog to see what the other DT members have come up with for today! I'm sure you will see a lot of inspirational creations.

Thank you for visiting!

Quickly popped in to share a card I made for this weeks MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge (WSC 329)!

I rotated the sketch 90 degrees to the left and used a pup driving a car instead of the small circle element in the sketch.

All the images and the sentiment are from the Playful Pups stamp set. I stamped my grassy panel with the Scattered Surface Background to add some texture. The products I used are listed at the bottom of this blog post.

I'm sorry for this short post. I hope you'll play along with us this week. Visit the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog for the challenge details and for more inspiration from the DT.
