MFT Snowflake Splendor Card Kit Release

October 18, 2017

It's time to shop! The new Snowflake Splendor Card Kit is available for purchase now!!

I have one more card to share with you that I made using the new kit.
(NOTE: The products written in boldface are included in the kit.)

I kept the design clean so that my snowflake took the stage.
I made my frames with Smooth White, Sno Cone, and Summer Splash card stock using the stacked die cutting technique. I stamped the top panel with the Balloon Strings Background and heat embossed a sentiment from the Snowfall of Blessings stamp set with Silver embossing powder.

As you see in the photo above, I layered several die cut snowflakes. The Smooth White and Sno Cone snowflakes were cut with the Layered Snowflakes Die-namics and the vellum one was cut with the Snowflake Splendor Die-namics. I added a little bit of Crystal Drops to the center. It's really fun mixing and matching different shapes of snowflakes to create your own snowflakes! :)

MFT October Card Kit Countdown Day 2

October 17, 2017

Welcome to Day 2 of the MFT Snowflake Splendor Card Kit Countdown. The new kit will be available for purchase tonight at 9:00 pm EDT!

(NOTE: The products written in boldface are included in the kit.)
Today I paired the kit with the Happy Pawlidays stamp set. To create my background panel, I inked a Spearmint panel with Spearmint Premium Dye ink, spattered it with white ink, then cut it with the Snow Drifts Cover-Up Die-namics. I cut two more Snow Drifts Cover-Ups out of Spearmint CS, stacked them on a Smooth White card base, and inlaid the inked interior pieces. I gold embossed a sentiment from the Happy Pawlidays stamp set on one of the interior pieces.

The snowflakes were cut with the Layered Snowflakes Die-namics. It contains 10 snowflake dies and you can create a variety of snowflakes by mixing and matching these dies! You can see a few examples in the graphic below, but mines are different from any of them. ;) You'll see more examples on the DT blogs. (The links to the DT blog posts are on the MFT blog.)

MFT October Card Kit Countdown Day 1

October 16, 2017

It's Day 1 of the MFT October Card Kit Countdown. This month's kit is all about snowflakes!! It is really beautiful and versatile. I'm sure you'll love it! Make sure you stop by the MFT blog today and tomorrow for the full reveal of the kit and for more inspiration from the DT.

(NOTE: The products written in boldface are included in the kit.)
My card for today features the Snowflake Splendor stamp set.

First I cut a Smooth White panel using the Triple Peek-a-Boo Window & Edge Die-namics and stamped three large snowflakes. Then I added a pierced line on top of each snowflake using the Basic Stitch Lines Die-namics so they look like hanging down from the top. I stamped the smaller snowflakes, added a border of Silver Sparkle card stock, and adhered to a Bubblegum card base with foam tape. I also added a die-cut "joy", which I slightly sponged with Summer Splash Premium Dye ink.
I added some tiny silver dots with Silver Moondust Glitter Drops to finish off the card.

The new Snowflake Splendor Card Kit will be available for purchase tomorrow at 9:00 pm EDT

Make a Snow Globe with Die-cuts - MFT Release Replay

October 10, 2017

It's time for MFT Release Replay DT Challenge. Today the MFT DT is taking a fresh look at our most recent release with inspiring ideas and innovative takes on the complete collection. We love the opportunity to look at our products with fresh eyes, envisioning entirely new ways to showcase the possibilities they present!

It's always so fun adding some handmade decorations to your Christmas tree or your cozy room. Right? With the new Scenic Snow Globe Die-namics, you can create cute snow globes easily.

I made my snow globes using the Scenic Snow Globe Die-namics and cheap jars that I found at a 100 yen store, and used Diamond Dust and Clear Iridescent Mix Jewels for the snow. Since these are made with paper, I didn't put any fluid. So you can't see the snow falling down slowly. But I think that a little snowy scene enclosed in a jar itself is so cute. :)

Here is a trick of the suspended sentiment panel. I adhered all the die cut elements to a panel of acetate.

I have a video showing how to create this snow globe. Click HERE to watch it on YouTube.  (I got a new light and a video editor. So I think the quality of my video has been improved.)

MFT October Release Countdown Day 1

October 3, 2017

It's final day of the MFT October Release Countdown.  All the new products will be available for purchase TONIGHT at 9:00 pm EDT

I've shared four winter/Christmas cards with you this past four days. I went back to the autumn mood again to create today's card.

I combined the X's and O's stamp set with the adorable critters from the Wild Woodland stamp set that was released last month, and created a scene where the squirrel and owl are playing tic-tac-toe using acorns and leaves.

Look! I used the chalkboard technique!! If you don't know this technique, you're so young or you're still new to this card making world. LOL!! (BTW, how many years ago was it when this technique was so hot??)
Anyway, I just wanted to show you that the X's and O's stamp set has another possibility. ;)

MFT October Release Countdown Day 2

October 2, 2017

It's Day 2 of the MFT October Release Countdown. We're so close to the release day! All the new products will be available for purchase tomorrow at 9:00 pm EDT!

My card for today uses the Handwritten Holiday stamp set and the Scenic Globe Die-namics.

My main panel was cut with the new A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics, which must be another my "go-to" Die-namics!  I created my night sky by ink blending (the ink colors are listed at the bottom of this blog post) and drew falling snow with a white gel pen.
I made the "snow-capped" sentiment with the layered heat embossing technique. You can see how I made it in the video below. (Click HERE to watch the video on YouTube.)

MFT October Release Countdown Day 3

October 1, 2017

Welcome to Day 3 of the MFT October Release Countdown.
Today I have a shaker card to share with you that features the Dashing Deer stamp set & Die-namics

To create my background scene, I cut Periwinkle CS, blended Periwinkle and Boysenberry Premium Dye inks, spattered some white ink over it with a paint brush, and added a snowy hill panel and birch trees.

I also used the new Drifts & Hills Stencil to make my snowy hills look dimensional. I don't need to layer multiple panels any more! :D

I used Diamond Dust, Silver Itty Bitty Stars, and pink pearls for my shaker. I chose pink pearls to match with my sentiment panel, which I cut from Razzle Berry CS using the Tag Builder Blueprints 5 Die-namics. Aren't they cute? 💕

Ohhh, blizzarrrrrd! LOL!

The new products will be available for purchase on October 3 at 9:00 pm EDT.

MFT October Release Countdown Day 4

September 30, 2017

Welcome to Day 4 of the MFT October Release Countdown. Today I'm introducing my new stamp set & Die-namics, Happy Pawlidays!!

The winter holiday season is the busiest time of the year... These pups may not be able to help you decorate your Christmas tree, but I hope these sweet & funny furry friends brighten up your home!

I created a tri-fold window card by combining the Happy Pawlidays stamp set and the New York Skyline Die-namics. Here are a couple of photos showing how it opens.

You can write a message under the night sky, and it won't be seen through the window on the front when the card is closed.

To create this card, I started with a standard A2 card base. I stamped the front with the Bold Diagonal Stripes BG using Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with Silver Pearl embossing powder. I cut out a rectangle window using the A2 Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics and added a sheet of acetate and a silver frame. Then I adhered the dog and tree images.

I die cut the skyline from Smooth White CS and adhered to the inside of the card base as shown in the photo below. I created a night sky background on a panel of watercolor paper using Distress Inks (the colors are listed at the bottom of this blog post) and a white gel pen, and white embossed the sentiment. Then I adhered it to the inside of the card.

The new products will be available for purchase on October 3 at 9:00 pm EDT.

MFT October Release Countdown Day 5

September 29, 2017

The MFT October Release Countdown has begun! This month's release is packed with fabulous stamps and Die-namics for Christmas!! We have a lot to share and I can't showcase all of the new products during the countdown. So make sure you stop by the MFT blog everyday for next five days to see the full reveal of the new products, and don't forget to leave a comment there for your chance to win a prize.

I'm kicking off my countdown with this card, which features the adorable Polar Pals stamp set & Die-namics.

I die cut a rectangle panel out of watercolor paper using the A2 Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics and created my background using the masking technique and Distress Inks. (The ink colors I used are listed at the bottom of this blog post.)

To add some glitter to the icebergs and the icy ground, I applied Versa Mark ink using a Versa Marker Pen and heat embossed with Bridal Tinsel Embossing Powder. My camera didn't catch it well, but it looks so pretty in real life. :)

I raised up seals' nose with thin foam squares to add a little dimension.

All the new products will be available for purchase on October 3 at 9:00 pm EDT
